A San Francisco woman who said she was wrongfully arrested in 2014 in connection with a domestic violence incident has reached a settlement with the city's Police Department, her attorneys announced today.
In her lawsuit, Dora Mejia claimed that San Francisco officers denied her request for a Spanish-speaking interpreter and then arrested her, even though she was the alleged victim in the incident, leaving her three children with her allegedly abusive ex-partner.
