5 Ways to Brighten Your Morning
The morning is a critical time to positively set up the rest of your day. What you do in the morning dictates how your day will go. The following are some of the best ways to power through your morning and set up your day for success:
Put Your Alarm Out of Arms Reach
When you wake up in the morning, it is important to make sure you stand up right away. Don't let your body trick you into hitting the snooze and going back to bed. Put your alarm or phone across the room so you are forced to stand up and start the day.
Drink Water Right Away
Drinking a cold glass of water in the morning has been proven to boost your metabolism. It also is an effective method to oxygenate your body and help you feel more awake and alert. Have a cup or bottle of water at your bedside so that it is the first thing you do.
Move Your Body
One of the best ways to start your morning off right is by exercising. When we move our bodies, we send oxygen to our entire system, making us feel more awake, alert, and ready to win the day. Even if it's just 10 or 20 minutes, do something that will engage you physically.
Vision For The Day
Many times, we don't feel energized throughout the day simply because we don't have a plan. Having a certain vision for how we want the day to go helps us gain clarity on how to get there. Have a vision for the day ahead and make a plan on how to make that vision a reality.
It is physically impossible to feel fearful, angry, or frustrated when in a state of gratitude. Starting off your morning with gratitude is one of the best ways to make sure that the day ahead will be great. Practice Gratitude and your mornings will drastically change for the better.
Practice these things daily to get the ultimate jump on your day. Get up right away, drink water, move your body, have a vision, and step into a place of gratitude so that you can start your day the right way.
