OCCI - ACI Subsidy now available for conference attendees!
  • All attendees to the conference will receive a 20% subsidy of their ACI application. The ACI card must be submitted to us by December 31, 2016
  • An immediate rate increase will be given to level 1 and level 2 interpreters upon submission of the ACI card
  • Preferential booking for OCCI-ACI interpreters (provided they comply with our other requirements)
  • Apply ASAP to make sure you have it by the subsidy deadline. Your process will be more efficient if you submit all the required documentation at once to [email protected]  OCCI
  • 1 SDL/TRADOS licence ($1,00 value) free raffle
  • Food will include organic healthy lunch and special treats
  • ATA and OCCI- ACI points to be confirmed after the program has been published

Minimum good working conditions for community interpreting should include:
  • All legal/technical/events assignments have a minimum of 3 hours
  • Getting paid for the full period of time booked
  • Hours paid in increments of 1 hour
  • An established cancellation policy
  • For technical or special event assignments, preparation time should be allocated and paid
  • Personalized communication 
  • Travel time is paid in addition to kms when assignments are 80+ kms away
  • OCCI-ACI interpreters have preferential rates/booking
