"Take a look and listen as play-by-play announcers from around the world call some of the best plays from Game 2 of the 2017 NBA Finals! Featured broadcasts in the following languages: English, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, Portuguese, Polish, and Italian!"
"As seen at Google DeepMind’s conference this week, machine learning with AI has seeped into a number of industries in recent years."
"Any translation is bound to be only partially faithful to the original. Translation is, as the Latin root of the word shows, transference from one language to another. It is not, or should not be, slavish imitation."
The book "How to get it right when contracting Conference Interpreting services" by Helen Campbell and Lola Bendana is available in hard copy now.

We offer free hard copies to educational institutions, clients, government organizations and those who can have an impact educating the public and advocating on the importance of quality interpreting.

The authors would like to thank the following expert Conference Interpreters who contributed with this book:

Empowerment Tips

How to Recharge

We all need time to recharge and reconnect with ourselves. We all need time to energize ourselves so that we can keep going after the things we want. Here are some tips to successfully recharge:

Take Strategic Breaks
So many of us try and push through the work we are doing and end up feel exhausted. Take small planned breaks throughout your work day and you will feel more energized when you're finished.

Meditate
Learning to calm your mind is one of the best ways to feel fully recharged. Even if it is just for 5-10 minutes a day, take time to quiet your mind and connect with the present moment.

Have Friend Time
If we are drowning ourselves in work, it is hard to feel energized. Make time for friends and family so that you can have time not thinking about all of the things you need to do. Go and have fun!

Learn Something New
If you feel yourself stuck in a pattern of never being able to recharge, try taking up something new. It can be a sport, an art, or something that is outside of your daily routine. This will allow you to forget about the stuff that drains you and focus on your new found passion.

Time to Yourself
We all need it. Some more than others but everyone needs a little time to themselves. Take some time throughout the week to connect with yourself and reflect. Try it for a week and you will see the impact it will have.

Everyone has experienced feeling drained. Many times, it is hard to get out of it. If you implement these strategies, you will find yourself feeling recharged and ready to take on the day!

"Dr. Barnard has led numerous research studies investigating the effects of diet on diabetes, body weight, and chronic pain, including a groundbreaking study of dietary interventions in type 2 diabetes, funded by the National Institutes of Health."
"A translator who embarks on the seemingly steep path of medical translation has two main
obstacles: medical knowledge, and medical terminology. This post is about the latter."
We want to thank our
