Our Power is our Care, Our Power is our Presence!
One of the many great things about languages worldwide is the sizeable number of words for which there is no real English translation. Often they tell us about concepts and ideas that we are missing out on in the anglophone world.
Multi-Languages Annual Conference
Speaker announcements
We are happy to welcome 2 speakers from the Translation Bureau of Canada
Topic: Translation Quality
Julie Poirier
Chief Quality Officer - Translation Bureau of Canada
Julie Poirier graduated in translation from the University of Ottawa in 2001 and was recruited by the Translation Bureau the same year. Over the years, she has contributed to major projects such as the translation of transcripts of the Gomery Commission hearings. In 2006, she made the transition into management and took over the reins of a legal translation unit. In 2015, she became director of a team of 40 interpreters providing interpretation services to Parliament. In November 2017, Julie was appointed the Translation Bureau’s first Chief Quality Officer.

Benefits of Smiling
There are so many keys to living a great life. In our opinion, one of the most important is to smile more often. It has amazing physical and emotional benefits including the following:
Become Happier
It is no surprise that the happiest people on earth also are the ones who smile the most. It's proven that smiling releases dopamine and endorphins, the 'feel good' chemicals in the brain. If you want to experience more happiness, make the intentional decision to smile more.
Be More Likeable
People are naturally drawn to people who smile more often. If you want to be more likeable, smile - you will be shocked to see how people respond. Grow your social circle and become everyones favourite person.
Better Relationships
Whether it's your friends, family, or people in your professional life, people will be more connected to you if you smile more often. If you want to build better relationships, make the conscious decision to smile more to the people in your life.
Live Longer
It is proven that the more you smile, the longer you will live. There is a strong correlation between happiness and longevity. If you want to live a long & full life, make the decision to smile more.
We are all in the pursuit of the goals we want accomplish. What will drastically change our ability to succeed is our level of happiness. And what will drastically change our level of happiness is our ability to smile. Smile often to live a happy, fulfilled, and relationship filled life.
