"Monsignor Mark Miles is the linguistic bridge between the Spanish-speaking Francis and his English-speaking audiences."

"Monsignor Miles is a native of the British territory of Gibraltar and speaks both English and Spanish. He’s been the man who Pope Francis has leaned heavily on to effectively spread his message."

"Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph, right, made a point to learn Spanish in school and during winter ball in Venezuela so that he could better relate to Latino batterymates like right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez."

Empowerment Tips

How can I improve my financial health?
  • Be grateful for what you have.
  • Invest in your financial education and personal growth.
  • Spend less than you earn and invest the difference.
  • Pay high interest debt first.
  • Save automatically (prearranged debit from your bank account) a predetermined percentage of your income or flat amount. It does not matter how small is the amount.
  • Keep track of your income and expenses, be aware of the "latte factor", the small expenses that seem irrelevant but make a big difference in the long term.
  • Review your service contracts (i.e. cell phone, insurance policies, bank fees) at least on an annual basis, you may obtain a better offer.
  • Avoid falling in the consumerism trap. We don't need what the media tells us we need.
  • Take advantage of taxation laws, use your RRSP room. Be aware how the bank charges fees to manage your investments and ask questions.
  • Add more value to your clients or employer than anyone else.
  • Keep track of your assignments and invoice them in an organized way. Follow-up according to contracted terms.

Toronto Power Group Basket Brigade

On October 10th, the Toronto Power Group will be delivering baskets of food (worth $50 each) to 100 families. Some of these families would not have the opportunity to have the Thanksgiving dinner that many of us sometimes take for granted.

Contribution is one of the keys to feeling fulfilled, and you never know how big of an impact your small act of kindness can have. If you want to volunteer to pack and deliver the baskets visit the TPG Basket Brigade Page.

To help feed the families this Thanksgiving Donate Here! $50 feeds one family, but anything helps. Make a difference this Thanksgiving that will never be forgotten!

Fresh efforts are under way to finally give the Inuit people of Arctic Canada a common way to write their language.
