September 2016 ADH Newsletter

Congratulations to Our Newest Graduates!
Congratulations to our newest ADH Graduate teams, Ella Gentry and Service Dog Roxy, and Sean Van Demark of the Kauai Prosecuting Office and Courthouse Dog Ollie.
Sean will join Prosecutor Joanne Sheng as Ollie's secondary handler. Ollie helps provide comfort and courage to children who are victims of crime as they go through the difficult legal process.
Ella's cheerful, kind and loving personality make her a great partner for a Service Dog. "We see amazing changes taking place. It is wonderful to see Ella's self esteem blossom. We are incredibly grateful to Assistance Dogs of Hawaii", shares Ella's dad.
Courthouse Dog Conference
This month we attended the 4th annual Courthouse Dog Conference in Seattle, Washington. We were joined by two of our courthouse dog teams from the Monarch Children’s Justice Center and Thurston County Prosecutor’s Office.  This was a great opportunity to hear inspiring stories and learn how Courthouse Dogs all over the world are helping victims and witnesses of crime to find their voice. We feel so fortunate to have had the chance to meet with such dedicated people who are doing amazing work helping to bring justice to victims of crime. Mahalo to the Courthouse Dog Foundation for putting on such an incredible event. We are already looking forward to the next one!
