Burlington's New Official Plan Project

 Community Consultation on the Draft New Official Plan  

May 1, 2017

The draft new Official Plan has been released for community consultation. 
The draft new Official Plan articulates Burlington's vision to 2031 and beyond, and has been developed in recognition of the opportunities and challenges ahead as the City continues to evolve.  The draft new Official Plan fuses local community interests with regional and provincial plans, regulations and legislation, in alignment with the City's Strategic Plan
We want you to get involved
There are a number of ways you can get involved and provide input to the preparation of the new Official Plan:
Feedback will be collected on the draft new Official Plan until June 30th. Comments submitted before the June 30th deadline will be considered in the development of the proposed Official Plan for adoption by City Council by the end of 2017. 
You can learn more about the draft new Official Plan by reading the staff report "Release of Draft New Official Plan for Community Consultation" (PB-01-17).
Before the end of 2017 staff will:
  • share community feedback received with Council
  • release the proposed Official Plan
  • hold several Open House sessions
  • hold a Statutory Public Meeting
You will receive notice of all staff reports and public engagement opportunities.
