We have some more BIG news in here. Camp Northland is changing the game!!!
Dear Camp Northland Families,
April is here! That means we are 3 months (less than 90 days) away from Opening Day! With the summer just around the corner, we are excited to bring you up to date on all things Camp Northland. See the camp news section below for crazy and exciting updates around: Maccabi Sports Experience, new changes to our Adventure/ropes course, updated ski program and boats, camp beautification projects, tree house libraries, new gazebo, gaga and indoor play space and more...
We did it! Our wait list has grown and we have accepted campers into an additional cabin in some of our sections and units. Please tell your friends that may still be on the fence to register now and avoid disappointment for the summer of 2016. We have limited spots now available. Click here to register now.
Here's some other important and exciting information you need to know as we get closer and closer to Summer 2016:
As we grow, we need to continue hiring staff. If you know someone who would like to be a part of our exceptional staff team, please have them visit our website and fill out our online staff application form. We are currently looking to fill the roles of General Counsellors, and some other specialty/activity area staff. For more information, please give us a call at 905-881-0018.
We pride ourselves in providing amazing camp trial programs for our young, first-time Camp Northland campers. Our Weekender program has been a tremendous success over the years, and last summer we successfully ran our first in-camp Family Weekend. We are very excited that both of these programs will be running for Summer 2016. With that, we have brought Jennifer Turack on board to take on the leadership of these programs. Jen has worked at Camp Northland for many summers in a number of positions from Jewish and camp-wide programming to specialty area management. We are thrilled to have Jen on our team to further develop and grow the Weekender and Family Weekend programs. For any questions regarding these programs, please feel free to contact Jen directly by email at [email protected] or give us a call at the office at 905-881-0018, and we will put you in contact with her. Welcome back Jen!
Camp NBB Parents! We want to hear from you. Our Camp Northland Parents Committee are pleased to be launching our official Camp Northland Parent Connection Facebook page! We want to connect all of our parents and families together to share suggestions, ask questions, and great shopping tips (sales, camp must-haves, etc). If you would like to get involved and be a part of our Parent Committee, please give us a call at the office at 905-881-0018. The rules of the page are simple: Be kind, share information to build and benefit our camp community, and please leave the focus on camp rather than business opportunities.
We will be using Ve’ahavta’s Dugmah Grant to expand our camp gemach (NBB's G-cubed Program), a Jewish free-loan structure for either money or household goods for camp. This camp-wide program will promote a sharing culture at camp, and create connections to Jewish values of sharing and community, as well as to the sharing economy. Through the creation of multi-use community libraries and sharing hubs in each area of camp, the program will institute a camp gemach with which all campers will have meaningful interactions.
We are excited to announce that we are working towards bringing several Israeli Staff members as shlichim through Beit Halochema charity dedicated to helping Israeli War Vets and their families, and/or the Jewish Agency for Israel. Are you looking for a creative way to support the camp while bringing amazing Israeli connections into the camp culture? We are creating a POINTS drive. Can you donate points or air-miles that can help get these Israeli counsellors over to Canada? If so, what a great way to change these young adult lives, inspire our community, and strengthen our camp. Please contact the office to donate your flight points.
Are you a Medical Doctor or Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to contribute back to camp in a fun way? We are looking to fill the last one week gap in our calendar. If this is something that would interest you, please contact Simon directly at 905-881-0018.
We are here for anything we can help you with. If there is anything you need, please feel free to contact us at the office at 905-881-0018.
Best wishes for another great month ahead,
Simon, Evan, Denise, and Rob
Northland is changing the game.

Cubby Cubes

Cubby Cubes will help keep camper belongings organized and clean! They will also make it fast and easy when it comes time to pack and unpack bags, but don't store them at the back part of the closet for the rest of the year! They can be used for travelling and as a sports bag. Visit this page to learn more and enter the promo code NBB2016 to save 10% on your order!
Camp Northland Family BBQ

Be sure to save the date for our Camp Northland Family BBQ for Sunday June 5, 2016 between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Dufferin Clark Community Centre. This is a great opportunity for campers to meet other kids their age, and for all of our families to meet some of our amazing staff.
Water Systems Update
Each year, the camp files a drinking water report as required under the relevant legislation. We are proud of our systems and if at any time, anyone would like to see a copy of this most recent report (2015), you can simply request your own electronic copy by emailing us.
