Our New Campus!
We are excited to announce that we have found the forever home for the Assistance Dogs Northwest Campus! After several years of looking, this incredible 2.5 acre property was definitely worth the wait! Located on beautiful Bainbridge Island, it is the perfect place for hosting Team Training Camps, Puppy Classes, Advanced Training, Graduate Follow-Ups, and Community Outreach Programs. Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream come true. This new campus will make it possible for us to continue placing Assistance Dogs and lifetime follow-up support in the Pacific Northwest for generations to come.

ADNW Puppy Corner!
Jewel and Jasper are the newest puppies to join the Assistance Dogs Northwest training program! These two purpose-bred puppies were born in Queensland, Australia and are 9 weeks ago. They are already showing star potential in the Kindergarten Puppy Training Class! We have very high hopes for these two future heroes in training. Click on the photo to see Jewel and Jasper in action!
Fourth of July Parade
ADNW graduates, volunteers and puppies in training had a great time participating in this year's Grand Old 4th Parade on Bainbridge Island! We are so grateful to have been part of this long-running tradition and enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July with our new community. A big thank you to everyone who walked with us to support Assistance Dogs Northwest! To see the full gallery of photos from the parade click here
Congratulations Sheryl Speight and Courthouse Facility Dog Wilson!
A big congratulations to Sheryl Speight and Courthouse Facility Dog Wilson who recently completed Team Training Camp! Over the last 16 months Wilson has passed the Kindergarten, Basic, and Advanced Training Courses, all at the top of his class! The skills Wilson has learned will help him provide calm and comfort for children going through the difficult legal process. His handler, Sheryl, does amazing work with the Courthouse Dogs Foundation, whose mission is to promote justice with compassion through the use of trained courthouse facility dogs. "Wilson has such an amazing temperament and is so calm and confident. We are so thankful to have him as part of our Courthouse Dogs Foundation Team." -Sheryl Speight
Camp Goodtimes Therapy Visit
This month our therapy dog teams visited Camp Goodtimes on Vashon Island, a weeklong overnight camp for children and families affected by cancer. The camp welcomes more than 200 kids who participate in variety of fun activities including a talent show, fishing, rock climbing and so much more! Puppies in training Finn, Harper, Hank and Gus were huge favorites with all the campers and staff. The kids enjoyed petting, brushing, and snuggling with their new four legged friends.
"A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step."
